How to get to Comporta from Lisbon?

There are two options two reach Comporta from Lisbon, if you come from the airport you might take the “Vasco de Gama” bridge and if you come from the city center you might take the “25 do Abril” bridge to cross the Tagus estuary heading south. Then you can either drive all the way to Alcacer do Sal and there leave the highway (A2) direction Troia/Comporta on the Estrada Nacional (N253) or drive to Setubal on the same highway then take the ferry over the Sado estuary (20mins cruise) to reach the Troia Peninsula, from there is only a few minutes drive to reach Comporta on the N253-1.

Both ways are a nice relaxed drive with such a scarcity of traffic all year round that will surprise you. The second option with the ferry is anyway my fav, slightly shorter and more relaxed ‘cause you can enjoy a drive break, while on the ferry, admiring the beauty of the Troia Peninsula as reported on this photo album. In the peak of the summer you might find some queues especially on weekends to get the ferry.

From Comporta to Muda, where my property is located, you just follow the same road (N253-1) for 22.5 kms.
