As you can see on the home page picture of this web site, the Sado river ends in the Atlantic Ocean having on the northern side the city of Setubal and the Arrábida Natural Park and on the southern side the Troia Peninsula where these picture were taken.

Troia is where the Peninsula begins, Comporta lays just at the end of the peninsula where the landscape opens up into the wide rice fields that are the area trademark.
